Q: Hi Genie, I have a client who perspires excessively, and is quite stressed about it as it’s rather embarrassing. Armpits, face, hands and feet. She is becoming desperate!!! Please advise, thanks
A: The first remedy for sweatiness on hands and feet is Silica. For head, chest and hands try Calc Carb. If the perspiration has an offensive odour then perhaps Hepar sulph or Merc sol would be better. Dosage: 4-6 times a day. See below for more on each remedy:
Calc Carb: Often overweight and sweaty, even after minimal effort, particularly on head and face; chilly and sensitive to sudden changes in the weather, esp cold, wet weather. Strong cravings for eggs, milk and cheese
Silica: Sweaty hands, toes, feet
Merc Sol: Used for conditions that cause excessive bodily secretions that are foul smelling, high fevers and extreme perspiration. Symptoms tend to be worse at night and patients are very sensitive to cold. Excessive and foul smelling bodily discharges (sweat, saliva, urine and stools).
Hepar Sulph: Sweats easily at night. Profuse, sour, sticky, offensive. Better from damp, wet weather, warmth, wrapping ears and head, after eating. Worse from slightest touch or the slightest draft.

Q: Hello Eugenie, I heard you on 702 and thought you may be able to help me. I am 46yrs old and throughout my life I have sweated excessively. It has always bothered me and have to be carefull with sleeveless shirts. I am finding it is getting even worse now. I drink loads of water, eat a very clean diet mostly raw. I make certain I shave and clean my underarms regularly and use deodorant but always smell sweaty even if it is in the morning and fairly warm. I usually make sure all my clothes/bras are left in the sun to bake the sweaty smell out of them especially my gym clothes. What can I do/take. I find it embarrassing.
A: There are two remedies which have an excellent reputation for assisting with chronic profuse perspiration (with sweaty/sour odour). I would suggest you take both 4-6 times a day:
Hepar Sulph
Calc Carb
